How do I install PipeFitPro – step by step?

1. Make sure you have AutoCAD installed.

2. Download the latest PipeFitPro_5.exe and pick ‘Run’ let the download work.

3. Pick ‘Run’ again:

4. Click ‘OK’ to install all files to c:\PipeFitProV5 folder on your c drive

5. Open AutoCAD and type ‘appload’ at the command prompt and press Enter.

6. Browse to the C:\PipeFitProV5 folder and Click on the the ‘PipeFitProV5.fas’ file.

7. Pick ‘Load’ and then ‘Close’

8. Press ‘OK’ to load PipeFitPro into AutoCAD.

PipeFitPro V5 will now be ready for use.

How do I uninstall PipeFitPro in AutoCAD?

Open AutoCAD and pick the Uninstall command from the PipeFitPro Pull down menu or type ipfp-uninstall-v5-cui-file’ and press enter, and follow the prompts.

How do I remove PipeFitPro files from my computer?

For PipeFitPro 5.0.2 or later:

1. Close AutoCAD.

2. Delete the C:\PipeFitProV5 folder from your c drive using windows explorer.

3. Open AutoCAD. PipeFitPro will unload automatically.

For PipeFitPro V5.0.0 & 5.0.1:

Windows NT/XP:

Go to Control Panel and remove the program PipeFitPro using Add/Remove Programs.

Windows Vista:

Go to Control Panel and remove the program PipeFitPro using Programs & Features.

How do I upgrade my PipeFitPro 5 to the current version?

If you have purchased PipeFitPro Version 5.0.1 or later, download the latest version and run the install again. Upgrades will initiate automatically in AutoCAD.

How do I back-up my PipeFitPro 5 Settings?

We recommend the PipeFitPro 5 installation is periodically backed-up to an external hard drive, in addition to the Windows backup or third party backup software.

All PipeFitPro 5 custom fittings settings, User Parts and Blocks are filed in the ‘PipeFitProV5′ folder on your computer’s C:\ drive, and within several important sub folders:

• C:\PipeFitProV5\Blocks – Blocks as used by the PipeFitPro ‘Custom Blocks’ command (default)
• C:\PipeFitProV5\Settings – All PipeFitPro custom pipe and fitting settings
• C:\PipeFitProV5\User Parts - PipeNET default files location
• C:\PipeFitProV5\Extras\MyPartz\Blocks - MyPartz default file location

How do I transfer my PipeFitPro 5 Settings to another computer?

You can transfer all files manually by copying the PipeFitProV5 folder from one c drive to another. You will be required to load PipeFitPro into AutoCAD using the appload command, and register the installation.

Can I install PipeFitPro on more than one computer?

Each license can be used on a work computer as well as a home or portable computer.

How do I transfer my license key from one computer to another?

If you purchase a new computer and would like to activated PipeFitPro on it you will have to input the original product key and follow the registration instructions. Upon verification, we will issue you a new permanent activation key.

We do not currently support automatic license key portability. Please contact us here for instructions with relocating licenses.

How can I unload previous versions of PipeFitPro from my AutoCAD?

(Consult an experienced AutoCAD user if you re unsure of how to do this to to avoid accidentally unloading the main AutoCAD menu).

Open AutoCAD and type the command ‘menuload’ and Enter.

In the Load/Unload Customizations, carefully Click on the ‘PIPEFITPRO’ group from the list and make sure it’s highlighted. Click ‘Unload‘ and ‘Close’.

Exit AutoCAD immediately to ensure changes are saved.

NOTE This procedure can be used to unload previous versions of AutoList, QuickText, Mypartz and PerfectPlot. If you are using and new version of AutoCAD (2007+) you can use the ‘CUI’ command to the same thing.

How do I get PipeFitPro activated in AutoCAD 2011 or 2012?

If you are a registered PipeFitPro 5 customer, PipeFitPro should continue to operate in AutoCAD 2011 if it was activated in AutoCAD 2010. If the program does not activate, then you may need to input your original activation key and email us the registration. We will verify the registration and send a permanent activation key.

Can I install PipeFitPro 5 with PipeFitPro V4?

Yes. We have made the new version independent so you can test the new features without changing your AutoCAD set-up.
